Pro Metabolic Bliss Balls
After struggling to find a nut and seed free bliss ball recipe, I decided to make my own pro metabolic bliss balls.
Ingredients
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp raw cacao
6 medjool dates
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 tbsp gelatin + 1 tbsp water OR 1 heaped tbsp collagen
Method
In a small bowl add 1 tbsp of water, sprinkle 1 tbsp of gelatin on top and allow to “bloom”
Add all ingredients (including the bloomed gelatin) to a food processor and combine well. If you are like me and do not currently have a food processor, you can finely dice the dates and combine the ingredients by hand.
Once the mixture is well combined, roll 12 bite sizes balls.
You can coat the balls in cacao powder or desiccated coconut (optional)
Store the pro metabolic bliss balls in an air tight container in the fridge for up to one week.
Notes
The gelatin is optional but highly recommended. It adds extra protein and gut healing goodness.
These pro metabolic bliss balls are a great afternoon treat or tasty bedtime snack.
They are high in fibre and good quality carbs. Two per day would be an ideal limit if you choose to incorporate these bliss balls into your weight loss plan.
